What are your business hours?

Business hours are from 8am-5pm Mon-Friday for appointments and billing. Sessions with our coach / therapist is based on availablity To find out more about a specific office give us a call or send a message or email.

Can I bring someone with me?

You are very welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment and they can sit in on the consultation and treatment with you if you wish. Depending on the sensitive nature of your service or session, we reccomend you think this through thoroughly.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept some insurance plans. Please check with your insurance provider to see if physiotherapy is covered under your plan. We can however provide claim form. Insurance coverage is specifically for physiotherapy services only. Currently accepting Canopy frrom the Jamaica market for physiotherapy

What services do you offer?

We offer office visits, home visits, and virtual/telehealth sessions in physiotherapy. We also offer various health and wellness coaching packages plus health resort/spa packages.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by calling us 876-819-3633 or filling out the online consulation registration form on our website and booking your appointment based on the service you desire. We will contact you within 24 hours to confirm the appointment.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?

No, you do not need a referral from a Doctor to benefit from most of our services. However, if you have a specific medical condition, we may recommend consulting with your doctor before starting any treatment. If you are not sure of what service you may need, call us or book an Introduction Call on your website, its free.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, visa / mastercard / keycard payments online.

How long will will the visit take and how often will I be going to therapy??

On the first visit, cleints will be evaluated and treated. The time needed is highly dependent on the diagnosis, progression, and severity of injury. It typically will take between 30mins - 1 hour for your first visit and 30-45 minutes for follow-up reviews. Clients typically do therapy 1 – 3 times a week or as prescribed by their physician.

What documents are needed on the first visit?

Patients are required to complete a patient intake form. In addition to the form, the following documents are required: - The referral from your physician to evaluate and treat. - Your insurance card(s). - List of any medications, supplements/vitamins, herbs and reason for use. - Results of any recent and relevant diagnostic tests, MRIs, or X-rays. - If visit is related to liability case, please bring the contact information for your attorney.

Are all physiotherapists registered?

All physiotherapists are licensed to practise in Jamaica by Council of Professions supplementary to medicine (CPSM).

How many treatments will I need?

This usually depends on factors such as: How long you've had a problem The severity of your symptoms and condition What you want do be able to do? For example, a person wishing to get back to training for a specific sport or event may require a longer course of treatment for a knee injury than a sedentary office-worker. A fairly standard course of physiotherapy would be 3-5 treatment sessions but this can vary considerably. A person seeking advice on what they should and shouldn’t be doing in relation to their condition or problem might just attend for 1-2 sessions to be shown some specific exercises to do themselves at home and receive some general management advice for their condition. Similarly an individual with a relatively minor injury might just need a few treatments to assess their condition and alleviate their symptoms. At the other end of the scale, a patient receiving treatment post-operatively / stroke / brain injury or other neurological disorder or for a condition that has been present for some time may require treatment over a longer period to see them through to full rehabilitation.

I recently got an injury, How soon should I come and see you for assessment and treatment?

This is up to you, but generally we would try and see you as soon as possible after your injury to advise you and start treatment. If you have recently had surgery, suffred a stroke / heart attack / etc, your Consulting Physcian should advise you on when is best to start your physiotherapy. I’ve got a problem, who should I see the Physiotherapist or the Massage Therapist?

We get this query a lot especially from people who are just passing by the clinic and haven’t received a specific recommendation. We generally advise people that if they have a specific pain or injury, they might benefit from seeing the Physiotherapist first for a full assessment, diagnosis and treatment. The physiotherapist will then refer on to the Massage Therapist if they think that this is appropriate. If the problem is tired or tense muscles, fairly generalised without a specific pain feature, often suggest one of our health spa services may be the most appropriate to see in the first instance.

What should I wear to a physiotherapy session?

You should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. We may also ask you to wear athletic shoes.

How long does it take to get fit?

The answer to how quickly you will see changes in your fitness and health depends on your current level of fitness and health history, and therefore, there is no definitive answer. If you are expecting to see dramatic changes like those depicted on lifestyle or reality shows, you may be disappointed. However, if you are committed to making positive changes, you can expect to see some noticeable improvements within the first 12 weeks, provided you exercise at least twice a week. For even more significant results, consider booking a personal training session three times a week. Achieving bigger goals, such as weight loss or training for endurance sports, may take six to twelve months. We recommend that you schedule an assessment with one of our trainers to determine your current fitness level and develop a personalized plan to achieve your goals, whether they are short or long-term.

How long are the Personal Training Sessions?

We offer 30min, 45min & 60min individual sessions while our group sessions ranging from 30mins to 60min dependant on the program.

What is Strength and Conditioning?

Strength and Conditioning is about taking the principles of coaching and training to develop highly effective training processes for individuals or groups. These principles can be applied to any level of athlete whether someone starting out in the gym for the first time or an elite sportsperson. Strength and Conditioning exercises target your whole body, using lots of different muscles to strengthen, shape, and tone your body. They may combine several types of exercise, such as flexibility, strength, and resistance training.

What do I need to wear?

Both the practical and the assessment require you to be active, due to this we would suggest you have appropriate sportswear(clothing that will not restrict your movement, comfortable fitted footwear) for both delivering and taking part in physical sessions.

Who can benefit from strength and conditioning training?

Anyone can truly benefit from the strength and conditioning model. This model is about developing your body which includes muscle tissue, bone health, joint stability, ligaments and tendon health, as well as the mind-body connection. Whether you are trying to work on general health or training for the Olympics, this program will benefit you.

Is strength and conditioning just for athletes?

No way! Strength and Conditioning has been shown to help in performance and injury prevention in almost every sport and every type of movement.
